Participation Policy

Success in our programs requires full engagement and commitment. By enrolling in an Optimal Life HQ course, students agree to be fully present during all sessions and participate to the best of their ability. This includes attending classes on time, abiding by the Code of Conduct, and engaging actively in discussions, exercises, and learning activities.
Attendance Policy
To meet the requirements for ICF-accredited certification, students must attend a minimum of 80% of all scheduled live sessions. Attendance is tracked throughout the program.
If a student is unable to attend a live session due to illness or emergency, they must notify the instructor and the program team immediately at hello@optimallifehq.com. Students are expected to review the session materials, recordings (if available), and complete any related learning activities to maintain continuity of learning. Students who miss more than 20% of the total course hours will not be eligible for course certification. However, they may have the opportunity to join a future cohort to complete the missed sessions. Please note that Optimal Life HQ cannot guarantee when the next cohort will take place.
Exceptions may be granted only in cases of documented extenuating circumstances (e.g. medical or family emergencies) and will be reviewed in line with applicable laws and ICF standards.

Mentor Coaching Requirements
ICF requires students to complete a total of 10 hours of mentor coaching, including both group and individual sessions.
At Optimal Life HQ, this includes:
  • 7 hours of group mentor coaching (live sessions)
  • 3 hours of one-to-one mentor coaching (individual sessions)

Attendance at all mentor coaching sessions is mandatory. If a student misses any of the required group mentor coaching sessions, they must book an additional individual mentor coaching hour (paid) to meet the ICF’s total 10-hour requirement.

Make-Up Sessions
Students who miss a class may be offered the opportunity to audit the missed session in another cohort when available. This option is provided to help students fulfill attendance requirements. However, this may delay certification, as course completion is contingent upon attending the required number of live sessions. Optimal Life HQ does not guarantee when the next cohort will be available for auditing or make-up purposes.

Course Engagement
Our courses are designed to be experiential, interactive, and deeply engaging. Students are expected to:
• Participate in class discussions and group activities
• Engage in practice coaching sessions and peer learning
• Take responsibility for their own learning and contribute positively to the learning environment

If a student is unable to participate in a specific activity, they should inform their instructor as soon as possible.
Code of Conduct
Students are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner during all live and online sessions. This includes:

• Arriving on time for all sessions
• Attending all live classes and mentor coaching sessions
• Keeping cameras on during virtual sessions, whenever possible
• Being prepared, engaged, and respectful in all interactions
• Listening actively and communicating with honesty and integrity
• Refraining from disruptive behaviors such as texting, multitasking, or using devices for unrelated purposes
• Embracing diversity, inclusion, and mutual respect at all times

Partial Completion Policy
To be eligible for certification, students must complete 100% of course requirements, including attendance, assessments, mentor coaching, and performance evaluations.
Students who do not meet the 80% attendance threshold are not eligible for any form of certificate. Such students may be invited to complete the missed content by joining a future cohort, subject to availability. Optimal Life HQ cannot guarantee when the next cohort will be available, and participation in another cohort may delay certification.
